Arrivals are between 14 – 16 o’clock where we will have welcome snacks and drinks prepared.
Departure is after a Yoga class and a goodbye brunch.
On a typical day we would have one yoga class plus a second additional course such as yoga philosophy and health coaching, introduction to thai yoga massage or Qi-Gong, an acro yoga (partner yoga) class or an embodiment practice. Our classes are designed to be suitable for all levels, with adjustments possible for every ability.
Every day we have a yummy breakfast buffet with oatmeal or cereals, wholegrain bread, veggie spreads, different cheese, nuts, fruit salad, yogurt, honey, coffee and tea.
You can take something from the breakfast buffet to eat at lunch, but some days we will have the opportunity to stop at a mountain hut where you can try some tyrolean specialities.
Our evening meals consist of a variety of vegetarian dishes that include local produce and traditional recipes mixed in with international recipes like veggie curries we have gathered in cooking courses in Sri Lanka and spices brought home from our travels. We have lots of good stuff like fresh vegetables, salads and deli from the region.
Of course! All the meals we prepare are vegetarian. If you are vegan, or have allergies or other dietary requirements then just let us know.
The closest airport to the Zillertal is Innsbruck (70 km), and the second closest is Munich (190 km). From both it is quite easy to reach the valley by train or transfer bus. From Innsbruck Airport you have to take a short bus / taxi ride to the main train station, and then change trains once at Jenbach. Taking the train from Munich airport, you change once in Munich and again at Jenbach.
If you prefer to use a transfer service, we recommend Four Seasons transfers – they offer a well priced and efficient service. Prices vary on different dates, so best is to check it directly for your arrival/departure times: https://www.tirol-taxi.at/en-contact.

Gasthof Gschösswandhaus: The stunning location for our ‘Top of the Mountain’ Retreats is best reached by the Penkenbahn cable car. The valley station is 1km from ‘Mayrhofen i. Zillertal’ train station. Note the last lift is at 4.20pm, so you should aim to arrive in Mayrhofen by 4:20 pm at the latest. All info for the cable car is here https://www.mayrhofner-bergbahnen.com/en/mayrhofner-bergbahnen/prices-opening-hours-summer/
If you intend to travel to the Gschösswandhaus by car you should contact us in advance so we can give you the keycode for the barrier part way up. Please be aware that the road is a steep one way gravel track!
Recommended packing list for our Summer Retreats:
The weather in summer in the mountains can change quickly so be prepared to have some warm clothes (including a wooly hat) with you as well.
No we have different routes for all levels, for the climbing course just pitch in for the gear & a little tip for the external climbing guide, but it will not be more than 20 Euros once, we will cover the rest.
