Thanks for great times together during our Surf and Yoga Retreat Sri Lanka:

Once again we were happy to have another group of beautiful characters joining us & making our Surf, Outdoor and Yoga Retreat Sri Lanka 2017 as fun, relaxing and inspiring as it was. A mix of Yoga, activities in nature, healthy food and inspiring talks with people from all over the world.

Practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga or Yin Yoga while enjoying the ocean view – no matter on what level you started from beginners to advanced Yogis – it was great to see how everyone got deeper into their own practice each day.

During our Outdoor activities we were lucky to surf & snorkel in the crystal clear water, warm up with Yoga on a beautiful beach, see whales right next to us on our boat trip and watch a baby elephant walk by in the Udawalawe national park.

In Yoga Philosophy, Mindfulness and Health Coaching we were surprised and happy how open everyone shared, connecting & learning from each other.

Playing & learning to trust and let go during Acro Yoga, there was lots of laughter & surprise when getting into the different roles. When even the young man can let his girlfriend fly who did not believe that at first and a 100 kg man gets lifted, we get a sense for not only trusting others but also our own abilities more. During the Thai Yoga massage intro we got together in pairs and took turns practicing the guided massage and receiving.

Ayani our chef and teacher during the Sri Lankan cooking class taught us a lot & was well prepared with materials and a nice sense of humor. She got everyone to wash, cut, try, mix & taste and asked questions in between to see if we understood, making us feel like school kids again. The dinner was just delicious with seven different curries, each created from scratch, even the coconut milk.

Emily who is partly Tahitian spend some hours before to make us each a wreath of fresh tropical flowers she picked from the ground. It was a perfect goodbye dinner, although we hope there will be another reunion one day! The theme for our last Yin Yoga class was the metal element which is connected to letting go, so afterwards we each put our intention into the flowers, which we let go into the ocean then.

We look forward to staying in touch and creating our community together.

Thanks for your beautiful words so far, we will add your texts to our reviews from past events.
It was amazing to share another beautiful spot on this planet with such a group & we look forward to exploring more during our upcoming retreats.
