Ocean Mountain Yoga Retreats – Connect with Yourself, Nature & Community – Globeseekers

After a fun start in September, we were happy to again have beautiful groups of people join us for our October Retreats from different countries, like Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia or Spain. Thanks to each one of you for making our globeseekers Outdoor & Yoga Retreat Austria this year what it was, with lots of laughter, inspiring talks, sharing thoughts in Yoga Philosophy & Health Coaching, exploring nature, training & relaxing together and sharing ideas while preparing delicious food together.

Exploring nature with hiking we found beautiful places for our Yoga sessions with breathtaking views over the mountains, lakes & colourful forests.

With Yoga classes for all Levels, from Beginners to Advanced, everyone practiced in their own pace, while enjoying the surroundings.

The outdoor activities were great fun with everyone enjoying the beautiful autumn colours while sweating and relaxing in fresh air. Hiking up to a cozy wooden hut, enjoying the crystal clear water in one of the lakes around or being above the clouds, reaching the peak of a mountain, it was about sharing these beautiful moments in nature.

The workshop was about trying out new things and opening up in a bigger group. Starting with an Ashtanga Vinyasa class, we went over to Yoga Philosophy & Health Coaching, sharing thoughts and reflecting about topics like ‘Self Observation’, ‘Balance in Life’, ‘Sense Withdrawal’, ‘Purpose & Dreams’ or ‘Thankfulness’.

During Yoga Philosophy we read parts of the Yoga Sutras, talked about them in the group, and connected different topics with personal practical exercises in Health Coaching. We shared different experiences and learned from each other.

Acro / Partner Yoga was about communicating, trusting each other, letting go, overcoming fears, trying out with lots of laughter and surprises about what everyone was able to do. The Thai massage introduction is a great combination to the more playful Acro Yoga focussing on giving and receiving.

Homemade healthy delicious snacks like whole grain bread and veggie sticks with dips, oat cookies and yogi  tea were  part of the workshop to regain energy, with recipes included in the workshop folder for trying at home.

On Jack’s Organic Farm we learned about organic permaculture farming, and what different herbs can be used for, inspiring some of us to start growing ourselves one day. We bought and tried yummy veggies & herbs, which we used when preparing healthy dishes in the following days. Homemade bread, veggie curry, spinach dumplings, big varieties of salads and more was prepared together, sharing ideas & creativity while cooking.

With good weather we organised a bonfire in the canyon, reflecting, talking and jamming together with drums, guitars, an indian harmonium and an african harp. During nights at home we enjoyed the dinner in front of the fireplace in our cozy farmhouse, continuing conversations, with lots of similar experiences but very different backgrounds coming from different parts of the world.

We are very thankful to have met such interesting & lovely people becoming friends with some and growing with each other, through inspiring talks, sharing dreams & thoughts. This is the dream and vision we want to continue through the world, looking forward to connect with nature, different cultures & soul mates!

NAMASTE
